MY ROLE: Branding Design, UI Design YEAR: 2022

My task was to create a website design, branding (colour palette, typography and design elements), as well as edit pictures and re-design their logo.

Problem Statement

Buttercup Blossom reached out to me for help giving their existing small business some personality. The brand was missing consistency, colour harmony and few things needed updating such as images, typography, and logo. My client wanted a simple, but playful and colourful design.

I gathered some ideas for the new colour palette.

My client’s preference was to use Montserrat and Lemon Milk font which suited my idea perfectly. After a short discussion we also added script font Lemongrass for a bit of variety.

The original logo needed a little update to match the playful and bold style I was going for. Also, I was missing the vector version of the logo so working with it without losing the quality would be very challenging.

I created some logo ideas and presented them to my client.

Components

Next, I just needed to create a couple of components and buttons to complete the final design.

OUTCOME

The final design is simple, playful, colourful, and will attract customers who are looking to buy party supplies for their fun children, or even adult party.

The website is very easy to use and navigate.

In this case my client only needed help with creating branding and website design for her business, so the focus was mainly on visual design.
